our second date night (july 14) was kevin’s turn to plan. the date card came the day beforehand and read: “love sizzles.” the conversation after i received the card went something like this:
h: so we’re grilling. what are we grilling?
k: dang it. i knew that would give it away.

it was a great date night nonetheless. i’d been telling kevin that i didn’t really know how to grill, so this date night was dedicated to him teaching me how! i wasn’t so good at any of the parts involving lighter fluid, flames, and burning coals, but other than that, i think i have it mastered. well, let’s just say the steaks and corn somehow still tasted delicious.

we LOVE having a grill! (thank you buck’s + carlson’s for making it possible!)

and to conclude the evening (or begin the morning?) we saw harry potter at midnight! please note my gryffindor scarf in the photo. i almost fell asleep about 804346387 times, but it was such a fantastic movie and SO worth it.
